"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather."
~John Ruskin

Contrary to what many people think, the weather here at our lodge in south central Alaska is quite mild.

In the summer months (June, July, and August) the daytime high temperatures are in the 60s and 70s. With summer days having about 17 hours of daylight, you will have plenty of time and good weather for recreation and venturing out in the wilderness.

Autumn tends to be a bit cooler and more rainy.

Winter comes early, and conditions vary greatly from year to year. If you are considering a winter get away, please check with us for lake and weather conditions, as access to the lodge is dependant on both.

As with anywhere, the weather in Alaska is ever changing. Being prepared for all weather conditions is always important.
